"The only true voyage of discovery, the only fountain of Eternal Youth, would be not to visit strange lands but to possess other eyes, to behold the universe through the eyes of another, of a hundred others, to behold the hundred universes that each of them beholds, that each of them is"

These magical words of Marcel Proust resonate with my own personal take on photography. Whenever I am moved to capture the "essence" of a moment - during those solitary times when my imagination reaches out to explore the many possibilities - I find myself looking for the excitement in the inanimate; the beauty in the mundane; the underlying simplicity within the chaos; the unifying impact of line, and of light.

All of these considerations help drive the vision from concept to "artwork".

My hope is that you get a certain feeling of connection when you view some of my interpretations. It may well be the same feeling I wanted to convey.

Ultimately, of course, it will be yours alone to explore.
